Metal Working
The quality of the craftsmanship is the most important factor when choosing a custom rifle. We have selected the components used on these rifles because of their extreme high quality. NOVESKE RIFLEWORKS, LLC combines these components with precision metal working and gunsmithing techniques to create a superb rifle.
Each barrel is carefully inspected inside and out, then turned on the lathe for perfect axial bore alignment. The threads are single point cut specific to each action. Every chamber reamer is hand fit with a pilot bushing to .0002" under bore diameter. When chambering, high quality cutting oil is pumped under pressure through the muzzle forcing all chips out the reamer flutes, resulting in a perfect, un-marred throat. The throat is aligned perfectly with the bore, which is, perhaps, the most important factor in creating an accurate rifle. The chamber is hand polished after cutting for a perfect finish.
The crown is cut with real world shooters in mind. As hunters ourselves, we know the barrel can get stuck in the dirt now and then, so it is designed for maximum accuracy and protection. Standard is an 11 degree, but for extreme conditions, a 30 degree is recommended. Both crowns have a 60 degree chamfer on the lands to tuck the critical areas out of harm's way. (It also aids in cleaning.)
